The new Kraken Elite (2024) has several new and flashy upgrades compared to our previous generation, such as an enhanced LCD screen and RGB features. The pump has been upgraded significantly as well, including the addition of a dual-chamber design. A good AIO cooler can help keep components cool, dissipate heat, and increase performance, all while keeping your PC in good condition. Utilizing a custom-designed pump in concert with CoolIT, the aptly named NZXT Turbine pump helps increase flow rates and head pressure to maintain high-quality and consistent cooling by allowing coolant to circulate rapidly through your system. This improves heat dissipation from the CPU to the radiator.

Dual-Chamber Details

Featuring a new, dual-chamber design, the NZXT Turbine pump isolates hot and cold coolant into two separate chambers, reducing the effect of heated coolant on the pump, increasing pump reliability, and lowering noise levels. The pump upgrade doesn’t just improve cooling; it offers enhanced cooling efficiency, utilizing less power and offering more performance. The unique nature of the dual-chamber pump gives you numerous advantages over the previous Kraken Elite (2023) design.

Keeping Things Cool Under Pressure

In addition to the dual-chamber design, the NZXT Turbine pump maintains an optimized flow path directly to the split-flow cold plate, which has over 170 micro-skived fins on each side. The split-flow cold plate evenly distributes coolant through the fin channels to quickly and efficiently dissipate heat across the CPU’s surface. This process keeps your components cool and performance consistent while lowering temps on high-heat CPUs like the latest from Intel and AMD.

Performance Overview

The custom Turbine pump offers significant performance boosts for Intel and AMD CPUs. We measured the thermal resistance in the Kraken Elite (2024) and compared it with our previous generation of Kraken Elite coolers; the new pump features an over 10.8% increase in cooling efficiency and lower thermal resistance for Intel and a 7.8% increase for AMD. This means heat transfers more efficiently, and overall cooling performance is increased. The NZXT Turbine pump features enhanced hardware, offering an optimized volute for consistent fluid velocity and a streamlined flow path. These new features are only the tip of the pump iceberg for NZXT, as this new design allows us to offer better, incremental upgrades to our pumps in the future.

The Kraken Elite (2024) delivers premium cooling, combining vibrant aesthetics and easy installation, utilizing a single breakout cable to simplify connections and hidden radiator cables within the cooling tubes for a cleaner aesthetic. These new hoses are more durable than the previous generation, with extended rubber tubing and braided sleeving to keep things leak-free and protected, offering long-term stability for your system. A built-in RGB controller rounds things out, letting your system stay cool and look fantastic.
