C1500 Platinum ATX 3.1

The pinouts for 3.3V and 12V are swapped. How is this possible, and not being advertised as a known issue???

This is absolutely inexcusable for a PSU at this price range.

I came here looking for a troubleshooting guide for the SATA power not working and saw someone else reporting the same problem. I've tried two of the included SATA cables on all four ports, but neither of my HDD drives spin up. Right now, I'm using a spare PSU to power the HDD drives instead. I got the NZXT C1200 previously and it didn't have any issues, at least. I'll try the third included SATA cable after lunch; if that one works, I'll come back to add a star haha. Minus 1-star per failed cable; giving benefit of the doubt that it's not the ports, or that'll be 4 stars down.

Purchased these for a PC build and they work fine as long as you do not need to use a SATA drive. The cables are not able to power a rotating media HD and fans that are plugged into them take a long time to get up to speed. Rest of the connections work fine. To replace the cables need to send the entire power supply back and they send you a new one. Not very helpful. Would not purchase again

The quality on display with this unit is absolutely incredible. This is by far the best PSU I've ever owned. It's silently powering a delidded 9950X3D, an RTX 5090 Gaming OC, 16TB of 9100 Pro nvme storage, 10 Corsair QX120 fans on a Link hub and a XD6 pump/res combo. It has no issue powering this build silently, which is mind-blowing.

10-year warranty, full Japanese capacitors, Cybenetics Titanium rating, 2 x 12vhpr outputs and all the protections of a top-end PSU. Absolutely killer specs sheet and it performs as it should in the field.

The only flaw is the cable set. For this price, I expect individually sleeved cables with a beautiful finish. The cables feel like an afterthought which is a crying shame considering the rest of the unit is near flawless. At a minimum, if the power supply came with a coupon for 50% OFF custom cables from a third party OR an option to purchase sleeved cables from NZXT themselves, that would be acceptable. A premium price tag for mid-tier cables is a slap in the face of your most discerning customers.

Just as the title states, I haven’t assembled the PC yet as I’m still waiting for parts and components for a full watercooled PC. So I may come back and edit the review regarding the outcome and the PSU. All I can say so far that this PSU screams premium at a very cheap price (got it for 280 euros. That’s insane for a 1500w PSU) for what you get. You get high hold up time due to the high capacity of wattage, you get atx 3.1 and pcie 5.1 standards, you get a psu that it’s not so lengthy like some other brands (210mm) giving you more space for the cable management in the back, you get zero fan mode, protections, efficiency and what not. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that the cables are not braided/ individually sleeved. I would’ve paid more no problem. I have instead to order from cablemod, the cables (and the 12v-2x6 from Moddiy due to the leaf spring pin design) in order to have more flexible cables and also customised. But it’s fine anyway because I doubt I would’ve used the cables from a PSU, which even if they would’ve been braided/ individually sleeved, they’d still be just one color and not customised, no fancy 90 degrees or even 180 degrees adapter, etc.

The packaging: Oh I love it (I attached a picture), it screams premium. I love the foam, the box, the separation cardboard, the square protective satchel for the PSU, the little bag with velcro that has the cables in it. It’s awesome. The plastic bag that the cables are in it’s garbanzo tho.
